Exit Strategies

The idea of the exit strategy has been reeling in my head lately. An obvious theme, given the move. But I think that in this I have caught a very unfortunate trait of myself (and likely many others), in that I am thinking about the way out rather than the way in.

What future awaits, now that I am here, living not four blocks from the place I was brought home to after being born?

I didn't realize that your Hallowe'en party was so bad, to have you plotting your exit the whole time you were there.

Please post photos!!

The way I see it, exit strategies are intended to help people be sure that they have a sense of where they want to end up, a plan to get there, and sense of what they want to do after they arrive. An exit strategy is not the same thing as living with one foot, or both eyes, or your heart, always or already out the exit.

So, now that you are out of Victoria, what is it that you still seek to exit?

The only thing about an exit strategy, which itself can feel exciting and liberating, is the re-entry somewhere that inevitably follows, once the 'exit-ing' has run out! That bit's no fun at all.

You had a party? I want to see! Halloween pictures coming to my blog too soo-oO-OOo-oon...!

Hugs, Vix
